Anna Sergeyevna kournikova, an ex- Russian pro tennis athlete who is now an American television personality. She became a tennis star due to her looks and fame. Anna Kournikova played tennis pro in Russia for several years. At one point she was regarded as to be the best female tennis star. Kournikova was a moderately skilled singles tennis player, was an extremely successful doubles player. Her partnership together with Martina Hingis received widespread praise for the success of their collaboration. Her fame spread across the globe due to her looks and modeling assignments which is still one of the most looked up athletes on the internet. Kournikova was able to move the ball swiftly and quickly on the singles court. She was a modern baseline player. The tennis she played was defined by her powerful returns with a deep, powerful groundstroke, as well as a desire to get close to the net whenever the opportunity was right. Kournikova was both born and was raised in Moscow. The parents of both her were athletes. Sergei Kournikov came first in the wrestling championships while Alla Kournikova was a skilled running. Kournikova first started playing tennis when she was 5 years old. Then she moved to Florida (at age 10-years-old) in 1991, to study at the Nick Bollettieri academy. Anna Sergeyevna Kourinovova was raised in Moscow. She was born in the city on June 7, 1981. She was a former Russian tennis professional. Her tennis debut came at the age of 14 when she won the Fed Cup as the youngest Russian player. This achiever made it to the U.S Open when she was only 15 year old and at the age of 16 she made it up to the semi-finals of Wimbledon. Unfortunately, she was forced to stop playing professional tennis at the age of 21 because of severe back pain.
